With the event now less than a week away, the nerves (and plenty of self-doubt) have definitely started to set in. But I keep returning to the wise words shared recently by Stannite and entrepreneur Michelle Rothwell during her Reflection to the whole school: “Break challenges into smaller, manageable pieces.”
That advice has become my mantra. Instead of focusing on the daunting task, my preparation is now about the smaller steps:
🌊 Stepping into the lake
🌬️ Breathing effectively
💙 Trusting the process
The bursary fund is central to our vision at Windermere School — helping to provide life-changing opportunities for talented pupils who would not otherwise be able to access an education here. Every stroke on Saturday is dedicated to making that vision a reality.
How you can support
If you would like to support this challenge and help us raise funds for bursaries, please consider sponsoring me here:
👉 JustGiving – https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/windermere-bursary?utm_term=677qqKMar&utm_medium=FA&utm_source=CL
And for those nearby, your encouragement in person would mean so much. Please do join us at Hodge Howe at 12.00pm on Saturday to cheer me on from the shore.
Together, we can make a real difference for future generations of Windermere pupils.
Thank you for sharing!
