Natural Movement Retreat at Town Head Estate

Yesterday marked a truly memorable day for our Windermere community as we gathered at the breathtaking Town Head Estate for our Natural Movement Retreat.

The estate, with its stunning lakeside location, provided the perfect setting to step away from the everyday and reconnect with both our bodies and the natural world around us.

The day began with an inspiring movement session led by Stannite and OCR World Champion, Jonny Hunter, whose teaching encouraged participants to rediscover the joy of moving freely and intuitively. The energy was incredible, with everyone embracing the chance to slow down, stretch, and feel more connected.

A highlight of the retreat was the wonderful lunch prepared by Karen Rhodes Weddings and Events Catering. The meal, made with fresh and seasonal ingredients, gave everyone the chance to refuel, relax, and share stories in the beautiful surroundings.

In the afternoon, the group made its way down to the lakeshore. The calm waters invited reflection and rest — although for some, the temptation of a wild swim was simply too great! The bravest participants took a dip in the chilly lake, a true test of spirit and adventure, and an experience they won’t forget.

The day ended with a sense of fulfilment, connection, and renewed energy. Events like these are a reminder of the value of pausing, moving, and embracing our natural surroundings.

We are grateful to everyone who joined us and helped make the retreat such a success. This is just the beginning — keep an eye out for future opportunities to reconnect with nature, movement, and the Windermere community.
