January's Throwback Thursday

Emma joined Windermere School in 1990 at the age of just 3 and stayed until the end of sixth form. She loved her time at school, even making Elleray her home when she boarded with her cat!

Emma has gone on to have a very successful career in medicine. Here are Emma’s own words:

After completing my education at Windermere School, I studied medicine at Liverpool University and graduated in 2013. After my first two years of working as a junior doctor, and spending a year travelling in Asia, I started specialty training in emergency medicine. I have worked in A&Es across the North West of England, Wales and the South West, and am currently a doctor in A&E at Preston Hospital. When I’m not at work, I love getting out into the countryside with my husband, son and our Labrador.

Windermere School takes pride in sharing the news of students, old and new, near and far.

It's so warming to hear these success stories and having the opportunity to celebrate our amazing Stannites!
