A new classroom called Grasmere

A Room with a View – and a Lasting Legacy

This weekend, I climbed Helm Crag to capture a photo of the stunning Grasmere valley—a view that now holds special significance for Windermere School.

We're delighted to share that, thanks to the generosity of a valued supporter, our EYFS room in Elleray House will be named ‘Grasmere’, honouring one of the Lake District’s most beloved landscapes. This thoughtful gesture not only celebrates our setting but also supports the future of early years education within our new campus.

As our school continues to grow and evolve, we’re inviting members of our community to be part of that story by sponsoring one of our new classrooms. Each space is an opportunity to create a meaningful and lasting tribute—whether named after a favourite Lake District location or in honour of a cherished connection to the school.

If you’re interested in leaving your mark and supporting our development, please get in touch with me at jgaskin@windermereschool.co.uk.

Together, let’s shape the next chapter at Windermere School.
