A Celebration of Community at the Hodge Howe Launch Party

On Sunday 12 May, Windermere School welcomed members of the newly established Hodge Howe Sunday Club to a special launch event by the lake.

This wonderful event brought together current families, alumni, and future Stannites in a heartwarming celebration of connection, community, and shared history.

In the sunshine, families gathered at our stunning Hodge Howe campus to enjoy an afternoon of food, fun, and lake-side exploration. Children took to the water in boats under expert supervision, while parents, staff and guests enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere of the Pavilion and its surrounding grounds.

This new membership initiative is about more than access to our exceptional facilities—it is about building community. The launch party embodied the spirit of Windermere School: past, present and future coming together in a place that means so much to so many. With Stannites returning to reconnect, current pupils proudly showing their school to parents and siblings, and new families joining our ever-growing network, the event marked the start of a new chapter in Hodge Howe’s story.

As Head of Alumni and Community Relations, Jo Gaskin shared, “Seeing children play in the lake, parents connect over lunch, and alumni share stories with new members reminded us all of the magic Windermere holds. Hodge Howe is a place of joy, adventure and belonging—and this Sunday Club captures exactly that.”

We are grateful to all those who joined us for the launch and look forward to many more Sundays filled with laughter, sailing, and connection. Here’s to a bright future for the Hodge Howe Sunday Club—and to the community at the heart of it.
