It was an afternoon filled with sunshine, celebration and a powerful sense of community as current families, former pupils, staff, governors and prospective families came together to mark the occasion.
We were deeply honoured to welcome Colonel Chris Sanderson OBE to officially open the new campus. Colonel Sanderson spoke warmly about the importance of community, adaptability and vision—qualities that are clearly evident in the journey that has brought our younger pupils to Browhead.
The event included a tour of the newly refurbished Elleray House and Prep department, which is now buzzing with energy from our youngest learners. Guests explored the vibrant classrooms, the creative new Art Studio, and the charming outdoor spaces, now alive with children’s play and discovery.
It was heartwarming to see Stannites mingling with current pupils, many sharing stories of their own school days and marveling at how much has changed—and how much has remained the same. From past to present, the spirit of Windermere School continues to thrive.
Our thanks to all who joined us to celebrate this exciting new chapter. Together, we are building a stronger, more connected future for our school and for generations of pupils to come.
